Warren was born and raised in Chapel Hill and began working for Carolina shortly after graduating from Appalachian State University in 1994. He has nearly 20 years experience as a business manager at the University having worked for the Office of Sponsored Research (1994-99), School of Medicine (2000-05), and School of Pharmacy (2006-09) before joining the UBC in 2010.
In addition to raising beef cattle, his interests include coaching youth basketball, volleyball and baseball. He lives in Chapel Hill with his wife Jennifer and their sons Grady and Garrett.

Tabitha has been with the University since 2003. She is responsible for all HR functions for the UBC and Athletic Counseling for Student Athletics. She received her BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from the University of Mount Olive.
Sharon Dement

Sharon Dement joined UBC in February 2018. She has served as the Business Service Coordinator to the following departments: Carolina Seminars, Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE), Carolina Women’s Center (CWC), Marine Sciences, Partnerships in Aging Program, Carolina Latinx Center, Asian American Center, NC Botanical Garden, Carolina Center for Public Service (CCPS), CHEOP, and Athletics. She came to UNC from Blue Cross and Shield of NC where she worked 26 years in health insurance and did system and business analytical work.
Sharon was born and raised in Orange County. Her current interests are her 2 children and physical fitness.
Beth Thompson

Beth provides Human Resources and website support for the UBC. She started working at the University as a summer intern in the Contracts and Grants Office (currently Office of Sponsored Research) before receiving a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Elon University (formerly College). Beth worked at Duke Clinical Research Institute in project coordination and human resources before joining the UBC. After taking a break to start a family, Beth returned to Carolina part-time in 2005. A North Carolina native, she lives in the White Cross Community with her husband and three children.
Lisa Hicks

Lisa provides accounting support for the NC Botanical Gardens. Before joining the UBC in 2011, she served as the tax collector for the Town of Siler City. She was formerly an accounting technician with the Department of Pharmacology and budget coordinator and media buyer with Mullen advertising agency in Winston-Salem. Lisa graduated from the Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2003 with a BS in business administration.
She lives in Silk Hope, a small farming community in Chatham County with her husband Greg and their children Lilli and Ridge. She enjoys gardening, collecting pottery and taking painting classes in her spare time.

Wendy provides Human Resources support for the UBC. Wendy has been with the University since 2014 working in the Office of Human Resources. Wendy received her BS in business administration with a concentration in human resource from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a MBA from Averett University. Prior to joining the university she served as an HR Specialist for over seven years at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Stephanie Strowd

Stephanie joined UBC in May 2021.
She attended UNC Wilmington and UNC Chapel Hill. While in college, she worked as a bank teller at Carolina Beach and in Durham, NC. When she graduated from UNC, she worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist for 27 years.
In 2020, she retired from the Durham VA Medical Center. She lives on a farm in Orange County with her husband, Greg, where they raised 2 sons, Ethan and Jackson.
Daniel McNeal

Daniel has been with the University since 2014. Before joining the UBC, he spent several years as the program manager at UNC World View. Prior to coming to Carolina, Daniel worked in the non-profit sector in his hometown of Hendersonville, NC. Daniel graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a BS in Business Administration and from East Carolina University with an MBA. Daniel currently lives in Durham with his wife Janeli, son Bennett, and cocker-spaniel Rylee. In his free time, Daniel enjoys being outside hiking and/or camping and is a big Carolina sports fan.
Macy Henry
Accounting Technician

Macy is an Accounting Technician providing support for the LatinX Center, Sonja Haynes Stone Center for Black Culture and History, Asian American Center, and the American Indian Center. Macy joined the UBC in December of 2023. Prior to beginning her career at UNC, she graduated from Appalachian State University in 2023.
She currently lives in Chapel Hill and enjoys hiking, cooking, and running.
