If you have already discussed your SHRA Salary increase request for your employee based off the following reasons – Equity, Market Rate, Retention or Temporary Additional Duties with the Provost Business Operations Human Resources Officer, then please proceed with completing this form.  Please complete the Rainbow Form prior to completing this form (This form does not have a “SAVE” feature).

Please make sure and make any macros on the Rainbow Form have been disabled.  Please also make sure all lines are completed.

The following bullets need to be addressed for line 60 (in sentence format):

·Employees acquired knowledge, skills, and experience – specifically, the number of years of experience relevant to position
·Employees possession of an advanced degree or professional credentials that enhance the ability to perform required duties of the position – relevant education and credentials above the listed minimum requirements
·Scarcity and uniqueness of employee’s skills and abilities in the context of the greater job market – Individuals who possess skills that are scares in the labor market may be in higher demand and require additional salary consideration
·Internal equity – skills and work experience of the proposed hire should be compared to the skills and work experience of other employees performing similar work.  Start at unit and expand to identify similarly situated position
·Retention or replacement of employees – scarcity of qualified applicants, the number of rejected job offers, and the turnover rate for a position
·Relation to reference rate
·Available budgetary resources
